Arabian Sea Adventure

So here we are in India again after a break of four years. It feels good to be back. The flight from England passed with little problem and we were soon feeling the heat of Mumbai and the smells only found in India. We headed for Goa after a four hour stopover. We were soon driving through the chaotic streets from the airport. Cows, dogs, bikes, cars, beeping horns and tuk tuks everywhere.

This is Jeds first time in India and he was amazed, his little head sticking out of the taxi window taking everything in. We are staying in a lovely guesthouse called Lucias. It is a couple of hundred metres to the beach in Candolim so we can watch the sunset every night. I love the sunsets here over the Arabian Sea, they are my favourite vibrant orange colour.

The first morning we awoke to mum stressing. She was convinced she had lost our passports the previous evening in the chaos of the airport and after several chats with the owners and some phone calls she had talked herself into making a trip to Mumbai to the embassy. After another check through our gear they turned up in the top of her rucksack! What a great start mum :-). See what else happens.

Since then we have basically been to lots of beaches and pools and the night market and visited old friends from when we lived here when I was small. It has been great catching up and seeing how people have changed. Jed just loves anyone I know and follows my friends Jocelyn and Ariston everywhere. We visited Joe at Rudy’s too and met his wife who Jed adored.

Soon we will leave for Agonda in the south where we will spend Jeds third birthday and christmas also. After that we head to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for a few days and then Cambodia, both new places for me. Hope you enjoy as much as me.

  1. Bonjour. J’étais sur mon blog, dans “Mes abonnements”, quand j’ai vu que vous avez posté un nouveau billet.
Êtes-vous allé à New Delhi? Est ce que c’était pollué?
J’ai observée longuement les images avec le soleil qui se couchait et j’en ai trouvé une vraiment bien faite. C’est vous qui prenez toutes ces photos?
